As of yesterday, Cable, Carnage, Magneto, Psyocke and Black Panther are all playable characters for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. For 10 bucks, PS3 and Xbox owners can now download the characters and a few bonuses. (Sorry Wii owners, screwed again.)
I downloaded last night, but it'll be a bit before I have a chance to play with the new guys. I'm psyched that Cable and Psylocke made the cut. I'd be more interested in Panther if he wasn't in the last MUA, and Magneto/Carnage = take 'em or leave 'em.
I think $10 is a fair price for this kind of DLC. I was worried they were going to go all $19.99 on us (which seems especially steep for this particular group of characters).
I wonder if we'll get another round of add-ons. The answer probably lies in how well this one sells...
P.S. For those of you who missed the pre-order on this game, you can now also get Juggernaut via download too. It'll cost you $2, but at least they're offering him up for those who came late to the party.
I think Marvel needs to realize that this isn't the 90's anymore and NO ONE GIVES A SHIT ABOUT CARNAGE.
Magneto/BP were obviously the lazy choices because they had them in MUA. We needed more Civil War ppl who factored into the actual story that will be interesting to play: Sentry, the Secret Warriors, other Thunderbolts, etc.
